Biography:
Kev began his formal music training on the trombone in 5th grade. Later that year, he received his first keyboard, and first guitar. He began studying both at the encouragement of his father and brother. While in highschool, Kev studied several different instruments, while playing in various bands and ensembles. He also began learning music theory, and orchestration.
After graduating highschool in 1995, Kev attended a year at Middle Tennessee State University majoring in music theory and composition, then another year at the University of North Alabama majoring in music education. That summer, Kev joined the band of Randy Cutlip (ex keyboardist of 3 Dog Night, Lynyrd Skynyrd) playing both guitar and keyboards. It was at Randy's encouragement that he applied to Boston's Berklee College of Music, where he attended for four semesters majoring in Film Scoring.
